Did you know that Irish folk-hybrid band Flogging Molly have a lot in common with early 80s hard rock act Fastway? In the early 80s Motorhead's "Fast" Eddie Clarke formed Fastway with UFO bassist Pete Way. The group recruited Humble Pie drummer Jerry Shirley and a young Irish lad named Dave King to front the group. The group released four albums in the 80s with King, including the horror movie soundtrack for the 1986 film "Trick Or Treat". After Fastway King contributed vocals to the sole release from hard rock band Katmandu before forming the Irish folk-punk band Flogging Molly in 1993.
