Death metal with a twist
Debauchery is a fairly interesting band. Pretty funny song titles and seriously angry death metal combine to form a rather entertaining album--"Fuck Humanity". Overly aggressive, yet pretty straightforward death metal, "Fuck Humanity" plays like most DM releases out there--over the top, heavy riffing with some injections of melody in for flavor; guttural, raspy vocals and blast beats and bass lines that will make your heart jump around in your ribcage. The vocals are both typical and atypical of death metal. While the guttural quality is there, it's not so much a chest rattling growl as it is more of a raspy delivery--Cookie Monster after he's eaten an entire bag of Chips Ahoy and has no milk available. Song titles like "Murderbrute Minotaurs", "Gorezilla" and "Zombie Extermination Crusader" crack me up and make me smile a little when I see them play across my display. All in all, it's a decent DM album with a few little nuances here and there but not enough to make it stand out. If you're looking for some DM with a twist, this one is for you.
