Symphonic black metal done right
COMMENTS:
Legacy of Emptiness delivers symphonic black metal as it should be with just the right addition of the symphonic elements to enhance the overall feel of the album and not overtake it. The vocals are great until the clean/spoken word portions come in and it loses me a little there. You have some really incredible swirling guitars and blast beat drumming melded with these beautifully orchestrated movements that enhances each song. With producing duties handled by none other than Dan Swano, "Over the Past" is definitely going to garner some praise and a heavy fan following.
RECOMMENDED FOR FANS OF:
Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth
