Death metal that is just heavy for the sake of being heavy
COMMENTS:
'Forest of the Impaled' is the latest release from Subservience and just sounds like the other death/extreme metal releases that are coming out these days. The heaviness on here is just monstrous and the inclusion of some really crushing riffs makes it pretty fun at times but once again, after about 10 minutes or so, I'm ready for something different that just never comes along. The album isn't terrible but the lack of originality is getting increasingly frustrating wtihin this genre. Another good one if you're looking for something heavy to listen to that doesn't deviate from the norm.
