Sure to please the melodic extremists
COMMENTS:
The extremely visual album cover from Mark Cooper (Master, Rings of Saturn) adorns this German death metal act's newest record. 'Ascension Gate' continues the maturity and progress made by 2016's 'Worship the Grave'. The riffs are finely tuned, saturated with plenty of melody that envelopes the harsher death tones. It's reminiscent of great Swedish metal like Amon Amarth and other 90s acts that originated in Gothenburg. 'Ascension Gate' sees Dawn of Disease at the height of their craftsmanship, a death metal offering that is sure to please the melodic extremists.
RECOMMENDED FOR FANS OF:
Amon Amarth, Vinterblot and Vanir
