Chaotic, complex metal with a menagerie of styles
COMMENTS:
Maryland's Sloth Herder are a band that thrives on complexity wrapped within obscurity. Their time signatures and songs are a mind melting endeavor and in each song you will hear so many influences that it's hard to keep up. Songs feature a menagerie of styles ranging from grind to black metal to doom to sludge. There's so much going on in each song that it really takes a couple of listens to catch everything. But what this band can do in 4 minutes or less is pretty impressive and they do it with polish and poise.
