Characteristic Rammstein
German national treasures Rammstein released their sixth studio album "Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da"("There Is Love For Everyone") after a four year hiatus to rave reviews and billboard chart success. This was propelled in part by the albums first single "Pussy", which the band created a pornographic music video for under the artistic direction of Jonas Akerlund. But beyond that the album is characteristic Rammstein, for readers that may not know they are a six member Industrial Metal group from Germany who release songs in their native language exclusively, outside of the aforementioned track. The songs are definetly heavy and anthemic on this record--from the first track "Rammlied" which the band opens their shows with, to the second single "Ich Tu Dir Weh" and its video showcasing their live act. However there are calmer, almost pop-like moods on the songs "Fruhling In Paris", and "Roter Sand" confirming the bands quest for art over Metal or Rock sensibilities.
So the bottom line is: if you like Rammstein, buy this record. If you're German, you probably already own this record and if you're completely new to the band find the first single "Pussy" because you can't miss the song's hilarious concept-"Take me now oh can't you see, I can't get laid in Germany".
