It's hard to imagine mid-tier acts like Iron Savior are well into 20 plus year careers. 'Titancraft' is the band's tenth album to date and continues the same pursuit of excellence that existed on the band's debut in 1997. This one follows the same formula as its predecessors. It was recorded at Powerhouse Studio in Germany, illustrated by Felipe Machado Franco and continues the epic storyline that was conceived over the band's discography. While Iron Savior have never incorporated robust symphonic sounds like a Blind Guardian or Helloween, they aren't quite as basic as an Accept or Grave Digger. Oddly the closest comparison over the years is Gamma Ray with its streamlined Teutonic sound enveloped with double-bass, verse-verse-bridge-chorus and harmonized vocals. Highlights here are "Way of the Blade", "Gunsmoke" and the moody "The Sun Won’t Rise in Hell".
