Dave Crawte and Mark Sutcliffe are the only two original members of the NWOBHM Trespass. The band formed in 1978 and released a couple of singles, an acclaimed EP and a demo in the early 80s. Oddly, the band never released a full-length studio record until 1993's 'Head'. Since then they released a self-title in 2015 and now 'Footprints in the Rock' via Mighty Music. The album's title track showcases an Iron Maiden sort of feel, but Sutcliffe is no Dickinson. I think that is where the album suffers. Vocally, it's average. Musically, a step up with quality riffs, a lively pace and solid production. Good and bad...like everything else.
