Lately, there has been a steady stream of bands reviving early and pre-70s, bluesy-psychedelic-stoner and northern Europe has enough hairspray to re-tease the glam and sleeze of the late 80s. Zero Down aims for the early 80s when metal was revving up and gaining power with NWOBHM acts (Priest, Accept, Riot). The throwback, production fits the package and gone is the snake-reverend of prior covers for a homage combo of Hellbent for Leather and Breaker. Aside from a few too many up/down scales, the riffs are dirty and the lightning strikes with Year of the Rat, The Vulture, and the romping humor of Battle At The Battle Of The Bands.
