Norway's Shining continue the Blackjazz onslaught with their new album One One One – an industrial-tinged metal whirlwind of a ride that is equally creative as it is aggressive. Totaling a mere 36 minutes, One One One is much shorter (in overall song lengths and total album play time) than previous efforts, but Shining maximizes this time with an ultraviolent display of sick riffs, intense vocals and excellent musicianship (as usual). Songs such as Blackjazz Rebels, The One Inside, and Paint The Sky Black, are as catchy as they are brutal. Even if you've never heard of Shining before, One One One is a killer introductory album to the band.
