Barbarian Prophecies have an album with 'Origin' that combines elements of old school death, black metal, thrash and jazz seamlessly to really give you quite the musical journey. The solos on this album are quite solid and there are all sorts of riffs to grab your attention before smacking your face right into the ground. Vocally the performance is a bit stagnant and one-sided with little variation throughout. There are a few high-pitched screams that would have been nice to hear more of. The production is pretty decent but feels a bit muddy overall and the bass and drums fade into the background a bit. Barbarian Prophecies are definitely on the right track but some minor tweaks here and there could really help things flow a bit smoother going forward.
