Love him or hate him, Ted Nugent embodies the free spirit of rock and roll. He's always loud, in your face and proclaiming his love of Gibson, America and freedom. One can't argue with that (although some like to try). This new album is created from another one of Ted's jam sessions and packaged with a live DVD/CD recorded at the Canyon Club. "Cocked, Locked & Ready to Rock" captures his conservative views with a driving, mid-tempo riff sermon. "I Love Ya Too Much Baby" is a wacky honkytonker while "Fred Bear" is an acoustic number. The album's title track is a punchy commandment of rock and roll--laced with energy and maybe even a cry for help on rock and roll addiction. Did he overdose a long time ago?
