Whatever you do, don't call this Black Metal. Please don't. Its dubbed "Evil Bayou Metal".
There seems to be alot of good stuff coming out of New Orleans as of late...i.e. Soilent Green. For a band that has been around for awhile, they sure have generated alot of buzz over the past couple of years. Leading on the vocal assault is none other than Ben Falgoust of Soilent Green, which I have to say has one of the best lungs in metal. He also writes the weirdest and deranged lyrics that I have ever seen. Sammy from Acid Bath also plays guitars and does backup vocals on tracks. He's just one of the numerous people from other bands to fill the spots of musicians for this band. This album is a great mix of styles, from melodic to brutal, acidic vocals to grunts to clean.
For the two years that I have had this album, I can honestly say that this still remains high on my playlist. Note: It also features Mike Beams from Exhumed helping out on some tracks.
