Band Redwest Title Crimson Renegade Type LP/EP Company Bakerteam YOR 2016 Style Traditional Popular Reviews 3/24/2016 - Review by: Eric Compton Spaghetti Western Metal If there is a new sub-genre called Spaghetti Western Metal, then there is no better place for it to originate in. Italy's Redwest have conceived a western concept album called 'Crimson Renegade' to serve as not only their debut album but also the first stepping stone for a genre that might become expansive given proper time. Lyrically the album is robust with adventure and romanticism and is saddled between groove rhythms and a slight nod to European power metal. Fave tracks for me are 'Ballad of Eddie W' and 'A Fistful of Dollars'. I think the album ends better than it begins. Is it comparable to anything? Maybe Avatar.
