With every subsequent release since "Blackwater Park", Opeth have been heading in a proggy direction. With "Sorceress", the band have fully gone that route and for me, this album just fell very short of the high mark the band had set for themselves. I found myself getting bored with the album and found the songs quite predictable, not an easy feat with a band so unpredictable. I may come back and find I've misjudged it horribly but for now, it just doesn't do much for me.
