'Ultimate Force', is the debut for this US traditional metal band. These Hoosiers run the gambit of 80s hard rock and heavy metal, grinding out a Shrapnel-styled record that's flashy with tons of riffs and soaring melodies. Vocalist Dustin Boltjes (billed as Dee Wrathchild) also performs drums for thrashers Skeletonwitch. He's a dead-ringer for Joe Elliott. It's this aspect that makes me think of early NWOBHM Def Leppard, early Fates Warning (not progressive) or something like Steeler (the Malmsteen one). 'Watcher" is my jam all day.
