Almost as good as it gets for Metalcore

After the highly successful "Oncoming Storm", comes "In The Eyes Of Fire", the third full length by Massachusetts based Unearth. Ken Susi and Buzz McGrath are competent axe-men and also skillful song writers that combine European melodic guitars with some of the most creative breakdowns. Unearth have been promising to deliver a release which would be their "angriest, heaviest and most brutal" to date and with their newest release, Unearth has delivered.

Whether it's the anthem-like choruses, the ripping solos, or the unrelenting breakdowns, Unearth continues to prove that they know exactly what they want to do when it comes to making music. The vocals though are not distinctive, and not very memorable. Every song has an in-your-face speed thrash metal foundation at a driving tempo, rather than their usual mid-tempo that every metal fan expects.

Unearth have really come into their own with this release, and it offers everything one could want in a metalcore CD. Every song will more or less satisfy even the casual fans of metalcore. "III: In The Eyes Of Fire" won't change your mind about metalcore if you already hate it, but to those who at least have some interest in the slowly deteriorating genre, this is almost as good as it gets. If you're looking for a metal/hardcore album that is blisteringly fast and furiously blazing and brutally heavy, and is made for some serious headbanging enjoyment, then Unearth's "III: In The Eyes of Fire" is rightfully yours to own.
