Canada's Without Mercy revamp some older songs with the release of "Mouichido", an EP of 4 songs that the band had written a while back but hadn't seen the light of day due to some slight controversy (as this isn't a column about the ins and outs of the album, hop online to find out the whole backstory behind this).

The one thing you need to know now is that Without Mercy is probably the most fitting band name out there. These Canadians tear through these 5 songs with so much ferocity and anger that the stoic RCMP would run screaming for their lives out of sheer terror. The songs are blisteringly heavy, ferociously furious and full of groove that would make the Titans of Greek mythology fall to their knees. Opening track "Worthless" is a killer track, with speedy riffs, snarling vocals and lots of the aforementioned groove. "In Waves" follows and features vocalist from ex-Chimaira singer Mark Hunter. This song is hands down the heaviest track of the bunch, laying down the heaviness like a steamroller flattening out fresh pavement. Hunter's vocals add another level of ferociousness to the already heavy track. "Burn" and "Morphine" round the EP out with as much venom and rage as the previous two tracks.
