Xaemora is another American black metal band looking to make their mark on the genre. With 'Pandemonium's Ocean', Xaemora has stamped their name proudly into the black metal book of blasphemy. While the sound is mainly more modern black metal, you can tell through some nods in the songs and in the production that the band are well-versed with the classic periods of black metal. But what is really impressive is how Xaemora melds the two styles together and does it their way. I wish the production were a bit more crisp and full but even with the slightly muffled production, the album still sounds menacing and clear enough to distinguish each instrument.
