A lot of maturity to their sound and to their music as a whole
The 7 Method is a band that you can't put into one category. Each song is different and sends different feelings to you. Although they've only been around since 1999, the band has a lot of maturity to their sound and to their music as a whole.
'Dead Like Me' is pure metal, it’s a masterpiece of lyrics, sound and music. It's more mellow when you start listening to it and it develops into heavier metal. You can feel the work that went into this song. I had to listen to it more than once to get the true feeling out of it.
'Without You' has more of an industrial feel to it with much heavier vocals right from the start of the song. A lot of repeating is done in the song as well, not saying that is a bad thing by any means. The band they remind me most of is Superjoint Ritual, although not one of my most favorite bands, it is a decent band and the 7 method gives a good try at making their music more heavy with this song. If it wasn’t so repeated, I think it would be a great song.
'Another Day' is a great twist to the previous two songs on the cd. It's heavy in music, and mellow on lyrics and vocals. Some goes as far as industrial but isn’t nearly as hard as 'Without You'.
To me it’s a great start to an album, and I would definitely consider picking it up if in a full-length album. I enjoy the feel and the sound of the album, its something that I would certainly play every day and not get sick of.
