A Day to Remember vocalist Jeremy McKinnon helped produce this sophomore album for metalcore act Wage War. Those rather sterile production standards accent the highs and lows of 'Deadweight'. The typical stomp riffs are abundant but manufactured with effects and a slight electronic feel for diversity. Vocalist Briton Bond handles the rough and clean vocals well, assisted with backing vocals for a more unified feel to the songs. While it is extremely aggressive, the chorus parts are so melodic that it could appeal to even wider audiences. Highlight for me is the subdued "Witness".
