Traditional played to the exact perfection of bands like Priest and Quartz
I swear to God this band sounds like 80s Saint somewhere around 'Too Late for Living'. Ambush, hailing from Vaxjo, Sweden, follows the neophilia of traditional metal played to the exact perfection of bands like Priest, Angel Witch and Quartz. Like fellow natives The Dagger, Black Trip and Enforcer, Ambush are the quintessential new wave act, riding into 2014 as if the 796 albums prior never happened. Hard to argue with the apple-polish of this stuff, riffs and catchy sing along choruses as good, or better, than predecessors. So are we appreciating this for what it is or slapping them for duplication? Hell if I know.
