This LA act originated in Atlanta in 2006. After a couple of early demos, they relocated to the west for two EPs that eventually led to the group's full-length debut 'Freak'. Citing numerous modern metal influences, the band is best described as a more subdued Mudvayne with Coal Chamber's crunchy bounce and Slipknot's darkness. Guitarist Diamond Rowe permeates the cuts with washing machine riffs but typically breaks into abstract melodies. 'Break the Trend' is the album highlight, constructed with pulverizing rhythm but ascending into a soulful chorus melody. The blend of clean and rough vocals doesn't always work well, but Tetrarch pulls it off.
