Handful of reviews in these pages that have no clear description on band or premise. Blackstar Halo from Finland are damn near impossible to describe. This is the debut and it is rich with driving melodic guitar that is stitched tight with highs and lows. Vocals are clean and almost commercial friendly. I've spun it a dozen times or more and I'm still at a loss. I like it...maybe comparable to the groove of Black Veil Brides with some odd Disturbed arrangements with the AOR sense of Powerworld.
