BM with a decidedly old school feel that will thrill some and annoy others
New York based One Master take a trip back in time to when bands like Emperor and Darkthrone were exploding on to the scene. You don't get anything envelope pushing here but what you do get is an old sound that is familiar yet also specifically attuned to One Master. The injection of the band's own interpretation of what black metal is to them really helps the album stand on its own. The old, muddled production will be familiar to many fans of the genre. Some fans will write this off as copycat metal and others will really relate to the sound. Either way, you should definitely give this one a shot.
