An array of styles and entirely too many instrumentals
Bands that throw in a mish mash of styles really keep me interested to see what's coming next and Burning Dogma definitely keep the interest levels high on 'No Shores of Hope'. From early 90's death and black metal, prog, modern melodic metal, Swedish Death and a few others, you won't be lacking for variety. The vocals tend to follow a clean/growl formula and the track "Skies of Grey" features female vocals that are just superb. The big drawback on the album is the overtly huge amount of instrumentals. It seems each song is followed by an instrumental and it really disrupts the flow and ability to get into the music fully.
