Acoustic desert rock album from one of the genre's pioneers
John Garcia is known for his contribution to Kyuss, Slo-Burn, Hermano, etc. Arguably he is one of the leading pioneers for the stoner and desert rock movement. His first solo effort came in 2014 and Napalm records released this follow-up in January of 2017. I like the unplugged stuff really well and Garcia offers that throughout these nine songs. It's laid-back but has a little bit of punch with some sharper strings and Garcia's emotionally charged higher tones. I've had "Green Machine" on repeat for days. It's like Mustasch meets Danzig meets "Rooster". Recommended for those days when it doesn't have to be on 10.
