Purely on nostalgia, Sentient Horror's 'The Crypts Below' is a monster of an album. The sounds on the band's EP are pulled straight from the pages of bands like Bloodbath, Grave, and Edge of Sanity. Stripped down to the bare bones, this album produces quality death metal through and through. The crunch of the guitars, the blast beats and the vocals hit all the right spots and having Dan Swano produce the album gives it that final touch that makes it really solid.
