Before All That Remains released their new record, 'Victim of the New Disease', guitarist Oli Herbert passed away. Herbert was a founding member of the group dating back to their 1998 conception. The record comes on the heels of his passing and just 18 months removed from the act's last record, 'Madness'. The band has been up and down with aggressive metal, combing stretches of pop and commercial accessibility to widen their audiences. Lately the group have revisited their NWOAHM sound and newest single 'F##K Love' echoes that. While not the most innovative and original record, it should please fans of the band. Go to for me is 'Blood I Spill', an instant mosh-riffic song that uses the growling verse and clean chorus formula. Done to death but enjoyable nonetheless.
