Note: Reviews are graded from 0-5, anything higher or not showing is from our old style. Scores, however, do not reveal the important features. The written review that accompanies the ratings is the best source of information regarding the music on our site. Reviewing is opinionated, not a qualitative science, so scores are personal to the reviewer and could reflect anything from being technically brilliant to gloriously cheesy fun.

Demos and independent releases get some slack since the bands are often spent broke supporting themselves and trying to improve. Major releases usually have big financial backing, so they may be judged by a heavier hand. All scores can be eventually adjusted up or down by comparison of subsequent releases by the same band. We attempt to keep biases out of reviews and be advocates of the consumer without the undo influence of any band, label, management, promoter, etc.

The best way to determine how much you may like certain music is to listen to it yourself.

Since I wasn't able to find a website, I wasn't able to find out much about this band. That's not to say they don’t have one, just that I wasn't able to find it. The self titled album was recorded by Crazy World themselves in three weeks. This band sounds like a weird cross of Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Blue Oyster Cult, and maybe with a little bit of a country twang in the mix. The vocals are clear and interesting and the guitar riffs are strong and solid, all this is backed by an awesome drum sound. The lyrics are reminiscent of the 70's and 80's--loose and carefree--nothing overly serious. Yes, the name fits the band. It is a Crazy World and these guys rocked! And as off-beat as that sounds, it was surprisingly good mix. Combining the 70's, 80's, and 90's together in a perfect harmony, this is melodic rock at its best. These guys really run the gamut as far as sound goes and hopefully we're going to hear more from them soon.
