Soul Drainer's "Heavens Gate" seems to be a conceptual album about alien abduction. The band has a death metal feel with some orchestral elements thrown in for atmosphere. The musicianship is pretty decent and the vocals are delivered very well. All in all this is a fairly decent album but it sounds very similar to other acts out there that are doing things a little better and with a bit more polish. If you are a big fan of the death metal variety then check this out, otherwise hold on to your cash for better material.
