Primitai are a London based melodic metal band drawing inspiration from classic heavy metal and combining it with a modern production,
intensity and a subtle progressive edge. Whether sharing the stage with NWOBHM bands like Saxon, power metallers Edguy,
thrash bands like Warbringer, or even Scandinavian sleaze rock like Crashdiet, the power, melody and intensity of
Primitai’s songs and performance has struck a chord with fans across a wide spectrum of metal.
Smooth, polished, mid-tempo power metal with a nod to AOR and melodic rock
The last time I heard this UK act was back in 2013 with the stellar full-length 'Rise Again'. Since then, I've missed the 2016 record 'Night Brings Insanity', but I've heard the ring of 'The Calling' this year. Dissonance Productions never misses the hometown, traditional talent and Primitai represents that. This is smooth, polished, mid-tempo power metal with a nod to AOR and melodic rock at times. Fairly heavy, exceptional leads and great vocals make this one another winner for these vets.
