Chicago traditional metal act Lethal Shock have been kicking around the scene since 2008. Due to an abundance of line-up issues, and maybe a part-time approach, the group now release their debut record through indy label Witches Brew. The group soak up plenty of classic metal nostalgia, spinning an album that cranks volumes of speed metal amidst punk-infused licks and Cronos (Venom) style vocals. The title track shows it’s influence on its sleeve, a Tom Araya styled scream catapulting the song through a manic four-minute speed metal attack that is one-part Slayer, one part Kreator and the rest just alcoholic youth. "I Rock (In Hell!) is frenzied fast-paced blues riffs that owes as much to Motorhead as it does early Overkill or Exciter. It's hard to find originality here, but that's not the point. This is crazed, over the top, denim and leather heavy metal in fine form. It's supposed to be fun, but at the same time a tribute and thank you to the legions of bands and fans that helped make this formula. Highlights – "Up the Voltage" and "Fear (The Devil’s Child)".
