Fun, excessive, filthy good timeIn 1992 Hair Metal died at the hands of the selfish children of the grunge era.
But...it's back...sort of!
That's where Steel Panther comes in. Bringing back everything that made the decade of excess, dudes dressed liked chicks and spandex so cool to begin with.
"Feel The Steel" kicks off with the anthemic 'Death to All But Metal' a song with enough attitude...double kicks and shredding to keep you shitting spandex for weeks. 'Asian Hooker' a tale on the joys of 'eating foreign cuisine' follows. There's the classic rockstar dilema of staying faithful in 'Community Property' and 'Eatin Ain't Cheatin'. Or how about an ode to the drip rail in 'Stripper Girl'? A song that sounds like a certain Poison song. Only better! Other standout tracks include: 'Eyes of a Panther' a song that'll have you pumping your fist in the air and the chick next to you. 'Turn Out The Lights' which proves that no matter how ugly she may look you can still fuck her! 'Party All Day(Fuck All Night)' with it's dizzying keyboards thrown in the mix. 'Girl From Oklahoma' about 'beauties' in the south and of course 'The Shocker' with it's catchy...in a good way...chorus of '2 in the pink and 1 in the stink!'
Whether it brings back the 80's is beside the point. It's just a fun, excessive, filthy good time and it doesn't take itself or the world seriously. Just like the 80's!
