Being remixes, they don't have the same power
This is an album of remixes off of their first couple of releases. Being remixes they don't have the same power as the original releases. Being a big fan of Maynard James Keenan, I was expecting a much better release. This is still good, but just not up to the standards of Maynard's others. The first Puscifer release V is for Vagina, where most of theses songs first appeared in their original form was a much better album to listen to--it's the nature of remixes that they are very repetitive. The opening track on this album, Indigo Children is probably the best of the bunch. If you want to listen to Puscifer get their first couple of releases instead of this one. They have a single, Cuntry Boner, and EP Don't Shoot The Messenger, and a full length V is for Vagina--all of those releases should be your first choices if you are interested in this band. Getting that out of the way, I'm not saying this a bad album; far from it actually, if you are a fan of electronica and remixes this is a very good release. If you are not interested in Maynard James Keenan or Puscifer and are just are looking for something new to pop in check this one out. Going in not knowing the artist or what he is capable of and being a fan of electronica, you will probably enjoy this one very much. In closing, if you are a fan of Maynard looking forward to his next release check out the other Puscifer albums first and check this one out at a later time. If you are not interested in Maynard and like remixes check this out first and then maybe discover this band's other and much better work at a later time. It won't be a waste of money if you purchase this, just know which catagory you fall in and only get this if you already have the other stuff.
