England's Cradle of Filth is well known throughout the metal world. Their albums of late and have been hit and miss and their newest offering, The Manticore and Other Horrors, shows a bit of a return to their older style with some of their newer sound as well. The music is great, reminding me of "Dusk and Her Embrace" era Cradle. However, the vocals on the album sound forced at times, with almost spoken word dominating the delivery. There are also a few tracks that sound as they belong in a Euro dance hall rather than a metal record. Don't spend your money on this album, there's better metal by far out there.
