Sophomore album from Germany's Terrible Old Man with a heavier edge
Germany's Terrible Old Man went all out on their sophomore album 'Fungi From Yuggoth'. Although a traditional style hard rock/heavy metal band at the core, they've incorporated elements from other sub-genre's to broaden the scope of their sound. One example of this is 'The Lamp', as it contains speed metal riffs and blast beats and on 'Zaman's Hall', they show elements of progressive and power metal. The production is outstanding, as it gives the album a heavier edge. The music and vocals are excellent and sound like they were meant to be together. This is a great album from start to finish and a winner for those that love traditional metal.
