Sectu's members are metal veterans having been in such acts as Soilwork, Evergrey, and Therion to name a few. Having been in existence since 2005, originally as Cimmerian Dome, the group is well established in the metal scene. The new album is the first featuring new drummer Richard Evensand from Soilwork and Chimaira. "Nefarious" is full of blast beats, guttural growls and melodic guitar work with a healthy dose of heaviness. Tracks like "Onset of Destruction" and "Tenebrous" are sheer monsters that are enhanced by a solid and dark production. "Nefarious" is the epitome of death metal.
