When you are dealing with Polish death metal you immediately think of groups like Decapitated and Vader. Hell-Born are indeed born from the Polish death scene, a mad bunch of crazed deathheads providing a rather generic form of metal with their newest release "Legacy Of The Nephilim". In terms of precision and accuracy I hear nothing that faults the bands efforts or talent. However, in this day and age you really need production to stand out from the hordes and hordes of death metal fanatics and bands lining every street corner in every city in every country. The band play straight up mid-tempo death metal, complete with quick, stomping guitar riffs that recall early Amon Amarth. Vocalist Baal has a deep register, sounding a bit like Massi of an early version of Hypocrisy. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to this form of aggressive music. I need things shiny, polished, and spruced up with the lastest production wonders. I'll stick to Vader, Cannibal Corpse, and Unleashed for my death tunings. Fans of the wider realm should appreciate Hell-Born.
