Note: Reviews are graded from 0-5, anything higher or not showing is from our old style. Scores, however, do not reveal the important features. The written review that accompanies the ratings is the best source of information regarding the music on our site. Reviewing is opinionated, not a qualitative science, so scores are personal to the reviewer and could reflect anything from being technically brilliant to gloriously cheesy fun.

Demos and independent releases get some slack since the bands are often spent broke supporting themselves and trying to improve. Major releases usually have big financial backing, so they may be judged by a heavier hand. All scores can be eventually adjusted up or down by comparison of subsequent releases by the same band. We attempt to keep biases out of reviews and be advocates of the consumer without the undo influence of any band, label, management, promoter, etc.

The best way to determine how much you may like certain music is to listen to it yourself.

Track Listing

1. Theater Control
2. Cause Of Political Disease
3. Eternal Suffering
4. Balance
This 3 man arsenal from Greece have perfectly blended the elements of loud and fast to create this 4 track EP. Angel barks forward with his rough thrashy vocals over top of some great guitar rhythms from Kostas. Enough here to keep your pulse pounding, and probably the want to hear a full length offering. 'Theater Control' seems to be the focal song on here perfectly blending thrash and death elements. Tracks 2 and 3 are solid but lack the hook that is present in 'Theater Control'. Interestingly enough the last track is a slow instrumental showcasing some more of the bands talent and creativity, a nice atmospheric touch. Leaving you with hopes of exploring more venues on the next attempt.

Good start for what seems to be a promising young band. Great production for a demo and nice packaging but lacking in overall quality. Angel needs to change up his vocals to break up the monotone and sameness sound present in the three vocal tracks. Throw in a second guitar player to add some shredding riffs and you would have one smoking pile of metal on your plate.

UPDATE: DAMNATION has changed their name to BIOS. The bands official website is www.biosmetal.com
