Vomitile's 'Pure Eternal Hate' is an aptly titled album and is laden with classic death metal staples. Speedy guitars, fast, bombastic drumming and some seriously catchy hooks. The problem though is that the songs tend to bleed into one other with there being very little deviation in the formulaic approach used to the songwriting. There's not a wow factor or any little nuance introduced to really set this album apart from countless others within the genre. You can tell that the band has cut their teeth on classic death metal outfits like Deicide, early Sepultura and the like. Vomitile plays their brand of death metal admirably well but it isn't anything fans of death metal haven't heard before.
