Quality symphonic death metalAfter a three year lull, Septicflesh emerge from the bowels of Tartaros with "Titan". As if being borne on the back of Cronus himself, "Titan" lives up to its mythological name by delivering a giant dose of quality symphonic death metal. For those of you that didn't know, the band broke up in 2003 only to reunite again in 2007. During the reunion the band's name changed from Septic Flesh to Septicflesh to signify the rebirth of the band.
With eerie, yet beautiful, choral backings, demonic orchestral arrangements and bombastic heavy guitar riffs, it's as if you can feel the weight of doom itself pressing in at you from all sides. Though the band hasn't released a new album since 2011's "The Divine Mass", they show with "Titan" that they haven't missed a beat. With tracks like "War In Heaven", "Order of Dracul" and "Prometheus" paving the way, there's one question that must be asked--Can you withstand the force and power of a "Titan" and emerge unscathed?
