A tough listen that doesn't offer much to smooth things over
'Dead As Truth' was an album that I was initially excited to dive in to. But after a subsequent listen, it pained me to go through one more to make sure I wasn't misjudging the album. The vocals on the album are really tough to deal with. They are this strange brew of chanted word, low quality screams and what seems to be clean vocals as well. The music is a trudging, slow moving mass that has no real flow or semblance of construction to it. It is an amorphous glob of sound. The production is pretty clean but doesn't really help salvage the ability to listen.
