Autopsy's invective curse lives on with 'Tourniquets, Hacksaws and Graves'. This Peaceville release is the band's seventh album to date and third since 2008's 'back from the grave' reunion. Impressive as ever, the Oakland four-piece hacks through twelve scathing cuts of stripped to the bone death metal. It's a vitriolic effort made even more abusive through Adam Munoz's high-yielding production standards. With slower proceedings like 'Burial' these veterans emphasize traditionalism of the late 80s, the sort of antediluvian charges created by elders like Schuldiner and Reifert.
