Back into the death metal material a bit againRemember Hypocrisy, that band with some guy named Peter Tagtgren? Well they have followed up the release of Virus with another great quality release. They continue to have great production, but with a guy like Peter taking care of that, would you expect anything less?
Once again, they are going back into the death metal material a bit again, straying somewhat away from the subject of extraterrestrial life and science fiction that had been present on previous releases. The musical material is still heavy and in your face. The guitars are very melodic yet heavy at the same time. Tagtgren's vocals are brutal and bloody, delivering that perfect backdrop to the music the band puts out.
I hadn't listened to these guys in awhile and immediately picked up this album when I saw it on the shelf. I haven't taken this out of my CD player for a while now. Metal fans will definitely want to pick this one up. Good quality death metal with a few black metal elements and some good, catchy guitar work to boot. Go forth metalheads and get your own Taste of Extreme Divinity!!
