It's story time again with this international metal act. It's the second album for Them, an act that began as a King Diamond tribute band. With that penchant for the King sound it's no surprise that this follow-up continues the eerie, horrific horror songwriting. There's a host of voices and some narration that propels the narrative while the musicianship is slightly progressive and technical with timing changes and a plethora of lead solos. Vocally it is falsetto supreme but mixes in some low to mid range vocal styles. "Refuge in the Manor" musically sounds like Slayer to keep it aggressive and punchy.
