Ep's are hit and miss. Either you like them for the fact that they help pass the time in between full length albums or you hate them because they are NOT a full length album. "Dead Eyes See No Future" offers a mix of the studio cut with the same name off "Anthems Of Rebellion", three finely produced live cuts with the trade-mark Andy Sneap stamp on them and three cover tunes. (plus the addition of an enhanced video of the live "We Will Rise" tune). One beef I have with most live recordings even in this day and age is their poor sound but this stuff sounds heavy, tight and crystal clear. Covering Megadeth and Man O War seems like a good idea on the surface. I really find no fault in their renditions of both tunes but it's not something I would sit and spin for hours like a fresh, original A.E. tune. The highlight of this cd comes last as the Amott brothers pull one of their old Carcass tunes out of the archives and dust it off with a modern touch and sound. "Incarnated Solvent Abuse" really brought back memories and was easily the highlight of the disc for me.
Bottom Line: High quality ep that served to remind me how long it will be before we get another full album from the Arch Enemy camp.
