0 Terrible - Waste of your life and time.

Note: Reviews are graded from 0-5, anything higher or not showing is from our old style. Scores, however, do not reveal the important features. The written review that accompanies the ratings is the best source of information regarding the music on our site. Reviewing is opinionated, not a qualitative science, so scores are personal to the reviewer and could reflect anything from being technically brilliant to gloriously cheesy fun.

Demos and independent releases get some slack since the bands are often spent broke supporting themselves and trying to improve. Major releases usually have big financial backing, so they may be judged by a heavier hand. All scores can be eventually adjusted up or down by comparison of subsequent releases by the same band. We attempt to keep biases out of reviews and be advocates of the consumer without the undo influence of any band, label, management, promoter, etc.

The best way to determine how much you may like certain music is to listen to it yourself.

For those of you familiar with Zakk Wylde and BLS, be warned. This is not a typical BLS release.

The title informs you just what the music is like, "Music for Hangovers". It is very mellow and laid back. While Zakk has had one or two acoustic tracks on his previous BLS and solo releases, this is his first album of mellow tracks. On that note, I must say that this album shows off his talents quite well, well musical ones anyways.

His vocals are hit or miss with most people and being a huge BLS and Zakk fan I can tolerate them quite well. Anyways I digress. This album shows that Zakk can tear up an acoustic just as well as an electric. I almost feel that his talents are showcased better on an acoustic rather than the electric, but for those of you out there who love his electric work, there are a few blistering solos thrown in to liven things up a little.

Since the inception of BLS, Zakk has continued to gain fans as each album has been released; each one being more different than its predecessor. This album shows that he is not afraid to break away from his normal squealing harmonics and fast paced solos. So, if you are in the mood for a good album to just sit back and relax to or are a BLS fan then go out and buy this album.
