Stale offering from the Swedish melo-death specialists
I don't know guys. Take it or leave it. It's another album in a discography that now has eleven offerings of Dark Tranquillity melodic-death metal. I grew tired of this about a decade ago but the band and it's fans haven't. I can't knock this around for being anything other than sincere and to the point. The group continue to skirt the fringes of aggressive metal, bordering somewhere between avant-garde rock to the firm heaviness of the Gothenburg sound. I can hear everything from 'Projector' onward, the strings lightly distorted and backed by an assortment of machines and vocals still as dark as ever. A toss-up album if there ever was one.
